Tupolev SB-2M-100AU «3 Blue» (c/n 2/92) of the 44th SBP/5th Sqn. This aircraft was lost in a fatal crash on 30th January 1940 when pilot Ovcharenko (who had been suspended from a sortie because he lacked instrument flying skills) took the decision to take off on his own accord after the rest of the regiment had flown, but became disoriented in clouds

This Tupolev SB 2M-103A «2 Blue» was likewise captured by the Germans in wrecked condition in the summer of 1941. The stars were also applied to the propeller spinners
Tupolev SB 2M-100 20W-6 equipped with a wire aerial and a windmill-driven generator. The aircraft has a Luftwaffe-style «splinter scheme» of dark brown (RLM 61), dark green (RLM 62) and grey (RLM 63), with pale blue undersides (RLM 65)
