A very comely early Tu-154!

You will forgive me a couple of perhaps rather pedantic points: 1. the overwing emergency exits on early machines were of two different sizes; 2. early machines did not have an aft-cabin emergency exit.

An equally pedantic point is that the Tu-154 had no prototype or prototypes: it had nine, ten or twelve (if I remember rightly…) “pre-production” examples, each increasingly convergent with the series-production standard, yet none built entirely “by hand” at Tupolev’s prototype factory in Moscow.

Нет, это невозможно. Если приглядитесь, то все представленные изображения векторными не являются и вряд ли в таковой формат могут быть трансформированы. Во всяком случае, я этим не занимаюсь, я предлагаю готовый товар: в окраске какой компании надо - такой и будет. И потом: если я создам основу, а вы пририсуете то, что захотите - как мы будем делить авторское право?

Woher haben Sie diese Info und haben Sie auch zufällig ein Bild von dieser Roten 45?? Haben Sie dieses Mig-29 zufällig dort fliegen sehen?? Leider kenn ich diese von dort/hier nicht. I’m replying you on behalf of Basil Zolotov who is away at this moment.

No, all 7 planes Li-2 of the 3rd Soviet Antarctic Expedition were not fully colored red (unlike other types – look at An-2 and Mi-4) and didn`t have any red fragments in colouring (elements of high visibility). All Li-2 had 2color painting (of different coefficient of wear): green khaki on top and grey-blue below. Pictures are based on recollections of people who aviated them.

Red ends of winds consoles, keels and part of fuselage in Antarctica appeared (as a strict rule) later – from the beginning of use of Il-14.

Beautiful illustrations, Basil! I see you share my interest in Antarctic aviation. Is it possible this aircraft was colored red or had red panels applied like other Soviet Antarctic aircraft of this period?
